Sanctuary Lodge

For the Sanctuary Lodge Retreat, the goal was to make the lodge feel like it naturally appeared in the forest without disturbing the surrounding environment. The clients gave our team full creative freedom, trusting us to craft a top-shelf finished product that blended seamlessly with nature.

Hardscape & Stone Work

Using materials sourced directly from the site, we incorporated large moss-covered boulders, natural stone outcropping walls, and rustic flagstone flooring to create a timeless, rugged aesthetic.

Dirt-Work & Drainage Solutions

Managing stormwater from the large structure was a key focus. We created dry creek beds on both sides of the lodge and connected downspouts directly to the creek, allowing rainwater to flow naturally to the lake below.

Firepit & Outdoor Living

A massive firepit was nestled into the hillside, creating a central gathering space for guests to relax and share their adventures in a warm, natural setting.

This project demonstrates how careful planning, hands-on craftsmanship, and respect for the environment can create a rustic retreat that feels timeless and completely in harmony with its surroundings.
