Our Story, Our Family,
and Our Craft

Outside Inc. is, at its heart, a family business. It began when Corey Finkler, after years of working for other companies, decided to step out on his own. His vision was simple: to build a company rooted in craftsmanship and integrity, and to create something his family could grow into together.

From the very beginning, Corey’s wife and kids were part of the journey. They grew up watching designs come to life, spending time on job sites, and learning the trade firsthand. Today, those early experiences have shaped them into skilled team members who bring their own hands, perspectives, and talents to the company.

More than just a business, Outside Inc. has always been about family,  both ours and the families we serve. Every project we take on carries that same spirit, creating spaces where people can gather, relax, and make memories together.

We’re proud to call West Michigan home and have been helping families in Grand Rapids and surrounding areas create outdoor living spaces for over 25 years. Our experience spans all kinds of projects, from cozy patios to large, custom-designed landscapes.

While most of our work is local, we’re happy to take on projects outside of Michigan as well, bringing our design expertise and hands-on craftsmanship wherever it’s needed. No matter the location, our focus remains the same: creating outdoor spaces where families can relax, entertain, and make memories together.
